The Sage Colleges: Capital Region Peace Corps Volunteers Share Stories

The Sage Colleges

Nov. 10, The Sage Colleges hosted the presentation “Learn about the Peace Corps” at 7 p.m. in Bush Memorial Center on the Russell Sage campus in Troy.
Twenty returned Peace Corps volunteers shared stories from their experiences in Turkey, Nepal, Sierra Leone, Venezuela and other regions. Students and members of the community learned about opportunities in the Peace Corps as well.

The evening included video presentations, photos and small group discussions.

Interdisciplinary academics, community engagement, international exposure, and artistic and athletic endeavors are among the pillars of the educational experience at the Sage Colleges. Sage enrolls more than 3,000 students in bachelor's, master's and doctoral programs at the coeducational undergraduate Sage College of Albany; the undergraduate Russell Sage College for women in Troy; and the graduate-level Esteves School of Education, School of Health Sciences and School of Management, with programs on both campuses.
